West Terrace operates under the paradigm that every child is capable, and every child is a leader. The Leader in Me process helps develop the essential life skills and characteristics students need in order to thrive in the 21st century. The Leader in Me is integrated into the school's core curriculum and everyday language, and is exemplified in our programs. The Leader in Me paradigm begins with personal leadership and equips students with the self-confidence and skills needed to thrive in school and beyond. Additionally, the school differentiates instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Small group reading instruction is implemented school wide, and the math workshop model is offered in some grades. Students from West Terrace will attend Perry Heights Middle School for grades six through eight, then move on to Reitz High School.
